Fresh Start Program
This program will immediately assist all new residents with gathering the necessary documentation to get their Illinois State ID card. This will open doors to social services, health care, financial institution, employers and more organization that require identification.
Employment Empowerment Program
This is an entry level program that’s required by all new (DTHC) residents. It teaches individuals how to prepare or enhance a resume, basic computer skills and how to apply for employment on line.
Knowledge is Power Program
This is an educational program that assets the resident’s reading ability, education level and prepare them to advance in their learning. The program will be a collaborative effort with (DTHC) linkage partners.
Healthy Body Healthy Mind Program
This program will ensure the (DTHC) residents get the necessary physical and behavioral care needed to be successful. The program will be a collaborative effort with (DTHC) linkage partners.
Culinary Education and Training Program
The educational and training piece of this program will be taught by (DTHC) National Certified Food Handler in our state of the art kitchen and dinning area. The actual testing for National Certification will be conducted by (DTHC) linkage partners.
Housekeeping Program
This program is part of (DTHC) Preparation For Independent Living Program. (DTHC) housekeepers will teach residents basic housekeeping practices, chemicals needed to clean, routine cleaning, how to save by shutting off power, listening for unwanted running water etc. to save finances when they enter their homes.
Job Training Program
This program will offer fork lift training, basic construction and other job skills. The program will be a collaborative effort with (DTHC) linkage partners.
Fitness Program
This program will be conducted in (DTHC) fitness center and outdoor walk trail. This program will help residents stay healthy and assist them in sustaining factory and other exhaustive employment.
Shuttle Service Program
This program will be service by (DTHC) (15) fifteen passenger van for residents needing transportation to Dr. appointments, behavior care, employment, grocery stores etc.
Recovery Education/Relapse Prevention Program
This program will consist of a group session lead by individuals who has been through the AA/NA recovery program and maintained their sobriety.
